Wagner, who played a feature role on the Netflix documentary ‘Last Chance U” for her work counseling student-athletes at East Mississippi, has started her new company to share her passion for helping at risk student-athletes succeed academically.  She has contracted with several major Division I programs. The Great American Conference serves as her first Division II client.

“We are excited to work with Brittany and 10 Thousand Pencils this fall,” GAC Commissioner Will Prewitt said. “Her ideas and passion for boosting student-athlete academic performance are a perfect for the GAC’s and Division II’s commitment to providing graduation opportunities.  I can’t wait to see what she shares with our staffs during these sessions this fall.”

The sessions will have three focus areas: Best Practices, Motivating the Motivator, and Dealing with At Risk Athletes.

“My partnership with the Great American Conference excites me tremendously!” Wagner said. “The leaders of this conference have a concern for the success of their student-athletes and they are taking the necessary steps to equip their member schools with the tools needed for academic success. This is a huge step in the right direction and an exciting partnership!”
