What Is Texas Wagyu Beef?

To start with Wagyu originated in Japan. “Wa” in Japanese in Wagyu defined means Japanese, while “Gyu” is a cow, so Wagyu means Japanese Cow. Wagyu cattle from Texas are called American Wagyu or Texas Akaushi. Texas ranchers created this breed in the 90s with Japanese genetics. Texas Wagyu beef is a beautifully marbled meat.
