Oklahoma Wagyu raises Wagyu-Angus cross beef with that Texas Wagyu style. These particular types of Wagyu are known as “American Wagyu” or “F1.” The marbling genes in this breed of cattle come from the 100 percent Wagyu bulls and Angus that are naturally grown. This combination produces the best cuts of meat that will exceed any beef you’ve ever had.
What Is Texas Wagyu Beef?
To start with Wagyu originated in Japan. “Wa” in Japanese in Wagyu defined means Japanese, while “Gyu” is a cow, so Wagyu means Japanese Cow. Wagyu cattle from Texas are called American Wagyu or Texas Akaushi. Texas ranchers created this breed in the 90s with Japanese genetics. Texas Wagyu beef is a beautifully marbled meat. This beef is a mixture of genetics and proper care of the cow while it is alive. These cattle are the result of cross-breeding Japanese Black, with Texas beef cattle.
