Harding hires Trevon Biglow as Defensive Line Coach

SEARCY – The Harding University Athletic Department announced the hiring of Trevon Biglow as the defensive line coach for the football team Tuesday.

From 2013 to 2016, Biglow was one of the most dominating defensive linemen ever to play for Harding. In 2017, Biglow was a student assistant, working with the defensive line and helping Harding advance to the national semifinals.

“The Harding football program has had an incredibly positive impact on my life,” Biglow said. “I hope I can continue on that same track and help lead our players in the right direction.”

Biglow, a native of Oklahoma City, Okla., played in 45 games as a Bison and had 24.5 sacks, the second highest total in program history. He was third with 43.5 tackles for loss. As a senior, Biglow was the Great American Conference (GAC) Defensive Player of the Year, earning his third All-GAC honor and second All-American award.

“Trevon was a tremendous player here as a Bison,” head football coach Paul Simmons said. “He brought passion and energy to the table as a player, and I know that he will bring that same kind of passion and energy as a defensive line coach and recruiter.”

Last season, Harding’s defense led the GAC in both scoring defense (20.3) and total defense (306.8). The team forced 31 turnovers, the most in the GAC and fifth in Division II.

Biglow, 23, graduated from Harding in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology and a minor in Bible and ministry. He is married to Hannah Albert of St. Louis, Missouri, a nursing student at Harding. The couple have a son, Elijah, born Feb. 3.
