Harding claims winningest college football program in the state this decade

The Bisons put together a solid 10-year run during the 2010’s and one that was at the top of the collegiate ranks in the state.

Harding had the most wins of any college football program regardless of division. The Bisons went 87-31 from 2010-2019.

HU went to the playoffs four consecutive seasons, won one Great American Conference championship and finished second six times.

The Bisons 87 wins was more than Henderson State (82), Ouachita (82) and Central Arkansas (81).

Harding’s running game with the option look is often spoken of when talk about Bisons’ football comes up – and rightfully so. HU led the Great American Conference in rushing offense in each of the nine years of the league’s existence, averaging between 320 and 373 rushing yards per game in those years.

But the Bisons’ defenses formidable, as well, as it led its conference in total defense in seven of those nine seasons.
