CONWAY – Central Baptist College head volleyball coach Stephanie Irwin has announced the 2020 fall schedule for the Mustangs. The season includes seven home matches and 24 matches overall after a record-setting 2019 campaign.
“I’m looking forward to the fall 2020 season with even more anticipation than last year,” Irwin said. “Now that I’ve gotten my feet wet with what this conference looks like and what the non-conference competition looks like, we’re hungry to be in-season once again. We’ve set up some tough competition this season to be pushed physically and mentally, which is what we’re looking forward to this season to test us and grow us. We scheduled two matches against the 2019 NCCAA national champions, College of the Ozarks, this season. Those matches with C of O along with our conference matches are what we are looking forward to the most. With me entering my second season as the head coach, I’m still building a legacy and trying to establish this program with a great group of kids – and my recruits coming in the fall gives me a lot of excitement for just that. With the coronavirus keeping everyone out of the gym, I’m very eager to get back when it’s safe for summer open gyms and practices to start. Our team for this fall is stacked and ready to work hard! I’m ready to see how many more records we can break this year.”
