TEXARKANA, Texas – Central Baptist College used a four-run ninth inning to down Texas A&M –Texarkana 6-3 in non-conference action on Monday at A&M’s George Dobson Field.
A fielder’s choice got A&M on the board in the first inning and both squads failed to score until the fifth when both added two apiece. CBC’s runs came off a Josh Hibbard (SR/Munford, TN) single that scored Percy Arnold (SO/White Hall, AR) and Deonta Howard (SR/Pine Bluff, AR).
Cody Duffey (FR/Corinth, TX)’s three-run homer lifted the Mustangs in the ninth inning. Earlier Nash Nichols (JR/Conway, AR) and Austin Kuchinski (SO/Powder Springs, GA) had hits the moved Nichols to third. Andre Ruche (SO/Miami, FL)’s single scored Nichols.
Aaron Kincaid (SR/Prairie Grove, AR) picked up the win in two innings of work striking out three, walking one allowing no hits or runs.
By the Numbers:
UP NEXT: The Mustangs will play a non-conference series with Morthland College on March 24th and 25th. A single game is scheduled for Friday; first pitch is scheduled for 4:00pm. The Saturday doubleheader will begin at Noon.
