MOBILE, Ala. – Former Lyon College softball player Kaitlyn Guevara (2017-18) made her professional debut for the E1 Pro Ballers in the American Softball Association Saturday night.

The San Jose, Calif. native started in the circle against the Future 1s and pitched five innings. She allowed just five hits and three earned runs, while walking one and striking out two batters.

“At first it was a little nerve wracking,” Guevara said. “Once I settled into the game I realized it’s so much fun to play against girls who are all at the same level. I know that every girl that I throw to can send the ball out.

“And also, the defense in this league is great. The plays that I’ve seen be made in just three games is so crazy.”

The E1 Pro Ballers are currently 2-1 in the summer league and face Outkast tonight at 7:15 p.m. CDT.
