LITTLE ROCK – Head coach Jake Harrington has announced Little Rock’s 2016-17 schedule. The Trojans will compete in 11 events before heading to the Sun Belt Championship in Miramar Beach, Fla.
Little Rock opens its fall campaign Sept. 12-13 at the Southern Miss-hosted Sam Hall Intercollegiate. The tournament will be played at Hattiesburg CC. Later that month, the Trojans will make the short trip to Memphis for the Tigers-hosted Memphis Intercollegiate, set for Sept. 26-27 at Colonial Country Club.
October’s slate begins with the Utah Invitational, set for Oct. 3-4 at The Jeremy Golf and Country Club. Houston and Rice host to the Bayou City Invitational at Golfcrest Country Club on Oct. 10-11. The ULM-hosted Duck Commander Intercollegiate will be played Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at Mystic Creek.
Little Rock resumes play and starts the spring season with the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, Feb. 17-19 at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. Houston hosts the Border Olympics March 10-11 at Laredo Country Club. UTSA hosts the Lone Star Invitational at Briggs Ranch Country Club March 20-21.
The Little Rock First Tee Classic will be played March 27-28 at Chenal Country Club. The Trojans head to the Pacific Northwest for the Seattle-hosted Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay April 3-4. Mizzou hosts the Tiger Invitational April 10-11 at The Club at Old Hawthorne for Little Rock’s final regular-season match.
