ARKADELPHIA – The football season for the Ouachita Tigers will begin even earlier.
It was originally scheduled for a Thursday night kickoff in Arkadelphia hosting the Northwestern Rangers to end the month of August.
However, heavy rain and sever storms forecast for the area has prompted officials to move the game up.
“The safety of the student-athletes, the student body and the fans is our number one priority,” Ouachita Baptist Athletic Director David Sharp said in a release. “Moving the game up a day allows us to provide the safest and best game-day environment for everyone involved.”
The game is now scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Cliff Harris Stadium with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
