Ouachita picks up a pair of wins in Durant to open season

DURANT, Okla. – The Ouachita volleyball team were picked to finish second in the Great American Conference in 2017. The Tigers are starting off taking care of business in the pre-conference portion of the schedule.

Ouachita won both its matches in Durant on Friday in the season opening South Central Classic.

The Tigers swept Texas A&M-International and earned a hard-fought five-set win over Dallas Baptist.

Ouachita was one of three teams, along with No. 21 Central Missouri and Southern Nazarene, to win both matches on Day One of the South Central Classic.

The Tigers face Minnesota-Crookston and Cameron on Saturday.
